Strawberry fields forever

Take a trip to strawberry country and get a taste for one of Central Arkansas’ best kept secrets. A small town with more than its fair share of fun destinations, Cabot is a safe bet for the whole family. Every spring, strawberry lovers from all over the country unite to celebrate the area’s signature crop at the annual Cabot Strawberry Festival. The best strawberries, peaches and local produce you’ve ever had are a great reason to visit, but there’s more to Cabot than its sweet side.

Living the good life

Cabot is not the type of place where you get in a hurry. Take your time on the tree-lined fairways and gorgeous greens at Greystone Country Club. Visit one of the charming community parks or walk the miles of scenic trails, a favorite local pastime. Bring the kids and check out the Fun Factory, see a movie, or spend a nostalgic afternoon at the skating rink. Like the strawberries for which it’s known, Cabot is something everyone can enjoy.

Far from a tourist trap, Cabot is a quiet community that just happens to have lots of fun things to do. As a family-friendly weekend retreat, Cabot really shines. Take the family bowling at the 32-lane ALLFAM Bowling Center or relive your glory days at the Joyland Skating Rink. Or take it to the extreme at the big-air BMX track. Take it down a notch for tee time at one of Cabot’s two country clubs. And when you want to get away, you’re just a short ride from Greer’s Ferry Lake.
